Two weeks today volunteer stewards will meet at the Cathedral for a training session ahead of the visit of St Thérèse, which is now less than 25 days away. Many Cathedral parishioners have already volunteered their time, as have the Lancashire and Cumbria Provinces of the Knights of St Columba. We have also had a good response to an appeal put out around the Diocese on VoiceXtra, the weekly email news service. Now Blog readers are being invited to help out. Could you spare some time during the visit of St Thérèse's relics? We will need stewards from about 11am on Monday 28th September until around midday on Wednesday 30th September. The training session takes place on Saturday 19th, 2-5pm. Attendance at this session is not absolutely essential, but it would be very helpful. There are a range of things to help out with: stewarding (both indoor and outdoor), providing hospitality/refreshments and so forth. If you would like to help at this exciting event, please contact us: you can find our details here.
