Ordination: The Photoshoot

The Ordination Mass
Finally, a wonderful shot of Bishop Patrick at the altar during the Eucharistic Prayer. With bishops, priests and people all assembled, there is indeed a great sense of the Church gathered to gather to celebrate the mysteries that Christ has given us. We have a couple more days worth of photos left, with some of the more unusual/interesting saved to the end, so keep visiting!

An appeal for pictures
Over the next few days there will be a series of postings showing pictures of the Episcopal Ordination. We have some wonderful images, taken by Cathedral parishioner Andrew Jotischky and by James Cowell, who was taking pictures on behalf of the diocesan newspaper, the Voice. Do you have any photos? Several people were in the garden with cameras before and after, so we know there are pictures out there! If you have any images of the ordination day, and you don't mind us using them on the Blog and other published materials, please email them to us (clergy@lancastercathedral.org.uk) or drop them in on a disk. It was wonderful that a few people at the ordination said they'd been following the preparations on the Blog (some even from the other side of the Atlantic!), so many people could benefit from your photographic skills! Thanks for your help, and thanks to the Blog readers for their kind comments!
