Rt Rev. Michael Campbell OSA, Sixth Bishop of Lancaster

People of the Diocese of Lancaster, here is your new Bishop. Rt Rev. Michael Campbell today became the sixth Bishop of Lancaster, as Bishop Patrick O'Donoghue retired after nearly eight years in charge of the Diocese.

The transition was marked by Mass in the Cathedral with around 180 clergy present, including Cardinal Keith O'Brien, the Papal Nuncio and a further 14 bishops. We have a lot of pictures of the event and will be picking out the best to show here on the Blog over the coming days. Be sure to call back for a series of posts, beginning tomorrow.
