Don't worry, you've not missed it! The Flower Festival - one of the great highlights of our 150th anniversary celebrations - takes place 26th-29th June. It promises to be a fantastic spectacle, the product of the combined work of a great many flower clubs from across Lancashire and Cumbria.
From today we are offering blog readers the chance to sponsor a display. Here's how it works: you choose a display and pay for the cost of the flowers. We will place an inscription (which you write, e.g. "In memory of...") at the display you sponsored; it will also be printed in the festival programme. There are a range of displays available, starting at £10 and going up to several hundred pounds for some of the large chapels. You may like to join with extended family or friends to sponsor a display; alternatively, you could part-sponsor one of the larger displays - contact us to discuss the possibilities. A list of the available displays can be found here. There are now more details of the Flower Festival on the Cathedral website: click here to take a look.
